Inspired Today – Leading Effectively Tomorrow

Master The Art

of Leadership

Speaking to leaders from every generation to inspire the greatest version of themselves, build resilient cultures, and achieve their greatest potential.

Leadership isn’t a position – it’s an attitude, behavior, and endeavor. Above all – it’s Character.

Jason Kons

Jason is a career officer in the United States Air Force, an inspirational speaker, and a leadership coach. A Germantown, WI native and former Division I football captain at the U.S. Air Force Academy, he commissioned in 2013 and has led award-winning units as both a Civil Engineer and Explosive Ordnance Disposal Commander. Known for his work in developing winning cultures, leaders, and teams, he delivers talks on growth, the optimist mindset, and resilience through his GROWTH model. His emphasis on gratitude, durability, and ownership applies to any profession and every age group.

Jason believes leadership is the most complex endeavor on the planet, demanding the highest respect, commitment, and character. The same potential that enables a leader to build, inspire, and shape a winning culture also carries the power to erode trust and dismantle teams. Winning cultures are created, preserved, and passed on by leaders—and it is our responsibility to ensure they are prepared for that task.

Leadership starts with accountability, matures with humility, and is mastered with integrity.

Leadership Model

1. Gratitude

The foundation for all good things in this world is gratitude.

2. Resilience

Durability is better than ability. The right thing done one time is worthless if it can’t be repeated.

3. Optimism

The proactive side of hope that offers a positive perspective on all our endeavors. Without optimism, every painful step along the way will be just as hopeless as the last.

4. Wisdom

The relentless pursuit to know what only time and experience can teach. Whether we’re earning it or learning it – have the courage to pass it on.

5. The Team

Leadership is, and always will be, about the team.

6. Habitual

Do it every day. Emphasize it every day. And believe in it every day. Leaders aren’t born, they’re made – one day at a time.

In Leadership

The GROWTH Leadership Model highlights that exceptional leaders are not defined by rank or position, but by the gratitude they offer, the resilience they both possess and encourage in others, their optimism, earned wisdom, trust in the team, and the lasting habits they can engrain within the organization to inspire a winning and lasting culture.

Gratitude is the cornerstone of authentic leadership—no matter where we are or what challenges we face, leaders grounded in gratitude approach each day with appreciation for every experience and every contribution. By recognizing even the smallest acts and valuing others, we build trust, humility, and a resilient culture of respect. When we keep gratitude higher than our expectations and honor it with disciplined, intentional actions, it becomes a force for good—strengthening teams and inspiring others to be grateful for us in return.

True leadership is defined by what we do every day, regardless of circumstance or audience. The courage to step into the arena must be matched with elite durability—to endure and thrive in the environment in which we compete. While success is valuable, the most significant asset is the ability to deliver exceptional performances consistently. Resilience transforms setbacks into learning opportunities, forges leaders in the face of adversity, and keeps teams focused and motivated through every challenge.

Optimism sustains morale and momentum by offering a proactive, positive perspective on all endeavors. Leaders with a forward-looking mindset spark creativity, instill confidence, and empower teams to overcome challenges. It is the deeply held belief that change, growth, and untapped potential are always possible—without optimism, every step through adversity would feel hopeless. This mindset fuels resilience, innovation, and the conviction that better outcomes are achievable even in the most challenging times.

Wisdom in leadership balances knowledge and experience with discernment, gained through patience, reflection, and the willingness to learn from mistakes. True wisdom guides leaders in aligning short-term actions with their long-term vision, understanding that lasting insight is earned gradually through disciplined effort. When leaders have the humility to keep learning and the strength to share what they've gained, they not only make wiser decisions but also prepare the next generation to do the same.

The most sacred component of leadership will always be the team. The group of individuals aligned toward a common purpose, committed to one another, and selflessly devoted to the prosperity of the group. Well led teams accomplish far more than the sum of their parts – they inspire unparalleled trust, unbridled synergy, and an unconquerable spirit. Should we ever have the opportunity to be part of a team – may we honor it with our greatest effort, contribution, and character.

If it's important, do it every day. Leadership demands intentionality—listening with empathy, crafting clear messages, developing a compelling vision, and communicating a winning culture. Without this discipline, culture becomes undefined and destined to fail. Great leaders build consistent daily habits of preparation, discipline, and sustained effort, setting the tone for excellence and accountability. Leadership is not a title, but a purposeful endeavor, an ongoing commitment to character and excellence that shapes outcomes every single day.
